What does an online-blended program entail?
Online-blended programs are taught predominantly online with a one- or two-hour virtual residency component where students are expected to be online simultaneously. However, our three-year, post-master’s doctoral degree programs may require international field experiences as well as weekend residencies.
This online-blended portion of our program benefits students with both a flexible online learning experience combined with the social inclusion aspects of a traditional education. Our online-blended programs also offer you the opportunity to:

How long are The Chicago School’s master’s degree programs?
You can earn your master’s degree in as soon as 20 months if you attend as a full-time student.
How long are The Chicago School’s doctoral degree programs?
You can earn your doctorate in about 36 months.
How long is each certificate program course?
Each certificate program consists of multiple eight-week online learning sessions that take place over the course of five months.
How flexible are the class schedules?
Very. Most of our online-blended programs offer flexible, accelerated options designed to help working adults get ahead.
When are courses offered?
Courses are offered every eight weeks, and you are free to apply at any time, for any session.
How does The Chicago School evaluate its programs?
To insure an effective and high quality education experience, The Chicago School faculty systematically monitors student learning to inform future planning and to generate creative, responsive initiatives to improve the programs. Data are gathered, analyzed, and presented to the learning community for review. Based on these results, the program revises the student learning assessment plan, the curriculum, and the approach to learning in the classroom. Student learning assessments offer the school a critical opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of its programs and to develop innovative, student-focused learning environments.
