Office of the President

Education, innovation, service, and community; these four words are at the heart of what we do at The Chicago School.

What began 30 years ago as a regional Clinical Psy.D. program, is today the world’s leading independent school dedicated to the training and advancement of professional psychology.

For years, students from around the globe had only one option if they wanted a Chicago School education. They traveled to our downtown Chicago Campus and took courses in a traditional “on-ground” environment. This has changed. We built our Online Campus earlier this decade to answer the need for more psychology training, but delivered in a flexible format that suits a variety of lifestyles and needs. All along the way, our faculty and program architects took great effort to ensure that the distance learning programs offered at The Chicago School feel anything but distant.

At The Chicago School, we continue to receive acknowledgment for our commitment to service learning and our pioneering curriculum centered on diversity and multicultural education. Our school has twice been recognized by the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology: first for significant contributions to the area of diversity, and second for outstanding advocacy for the field of psychology. In 2007, we became the first school of our kind to earn a place on the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for our exemplary service efforts and service to disadvantaged youth.

As a student in our Online Campus, you will have access to a community of leading psychology faculty, all dedicated to providing you with the knowledge and skills to meet the evolving health, organizational, forensic, and human development needs of our society. Together, our successful graduates are working to build better communities in settings all over the world. If you would like an innovative and personal education with a commitment to diversity, service, and community, I invite you to consider The Chicago School.

Sincerely,

Michael Horowitz, Ph.D.
President, The Chicago School
